Frequently Asked Questions

We recommend starting the wedding dress shopping process nine months to one year prior to your wedding date, so you can avoid rush fees and enjoy the experience!

It takes approximately four to six months for a wedding dress to arrive, depending on the designer. Please take this into consideration when scheduling your appointment. Once your gown arrives, you should also allow six to eight weeks for alterations before the wedding.

If you are working within a shorter time frame, please call our bridal shop at (248) 925-3775 and we can discuss other options with you.

We want to make sure the bride gets all the attention on this special day! For this reason, we encourage you to keep guests to adults only.

We carry more than 50 plus-size wedding dresses, ranging up to a size 30 for you to try on in-store. Many of our gowns are available to order up to a size 34.

True Society takes the bridal experience to the next level. Our expertly trained True Crew of stylists take your dream and make it a dress reality. Our custom designed, spacious fitting rooms give you the confidence and comfort to be yourself and the queen that you are. We provide world class service and attention to detail at every turn. We have only the most swoonworthy dresses that seriously speak to the soul. True Society exclusively carries international, award-winning designs from Essense of Australia, Stella York, Martina Liana, Martina Liana Luxe, All Who Wander and Oxford Street. Chic, classic, boho, ballgown…the list goes on. So many styles for all of the fabulous shapes and sizes of a True Bride.

Convenient parking is located in the parking lot that surrounds the store.

We do not carry bridesmaid dresses at this True Society location.

Yes! From veils to bridal jackets, jewelry, belts and hair accessories–we offer a wide variety of bridal accessories to pair with any wedding dress you choose. We have everything you need to create a personalized wedding day look to complement your personal style, and our stylists are happy to help you choose the right accessories for your wedding dress at your appointment.
